Hello, and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Melissa Kirkendall. I am an award-winning film producer and the founder of Little Village, Big Mountain, a full-service production company based in Texas and New Mexico. Our company name comes from an Ecuadorian phrase used to describe strength in community to overcome obstacles—a different way of saying “It takes a village.” I believe this perfectly describes my philosophy when producing original content for Films, TV, and Commercials across the US and internationally.

Alongside my work in film production, I am also a fine art still photographer. While producing is a highly collaborative, large-scale effort to bring cinematic stories to life, my fine art photography is an entirely separate, personal medium focused on capturing singular, evocative visual moments.
